On Friday, 12 May 2023, six hundred and seventy-one barristers and judges filled the Grand Ballroom at the Hyatt Regency Sydney for the 2023 Bench & Bar Dinner. The spectacular soiree saw the guest of honour, the Honourable Justice J Gleeson of the High Court of Australia give a sentimental and humorous speech revealing details of her early years at the bar and those who influenced her including the Mr Senior for the evening, Greg Sirtes SC of 12 Wentworth Selborne Chambers.

He and Ms Junior, Catherine Gleeson of New Chambers gave wonderful speeches alongside Uncle Michael West who performed an acknowledgement of country.
