On Monday, 6 February 2022 sixty-seven silks from across the country took their ceremonial bows in the High Court of Australia with eighteen of New South Wales’s own silks attending. The occasion saw over three hundred attendees in front of the full court followed by an afternoon tea in the Grand Lobby of the Court, hosted by the Hon Chief Justice Susan Kiefel AC.

Later that evening, in the National Gallery of Australia, Chief Justice Kiefel AC made a memorable toast to the silks, with Mark Costello SC of the Victorian Bar delivering a captivating reply on behalf of the 2022 silk cohort. It was an historic night for all who attended.
